Posted on Categories Home

The leader of Bujinkan Macedonia, Igor Dovezenski, this Saturday held a one day training session in shuriken throwing. In the event took part six members of Bujinkan Macedonia from varied ages and skill levels.

During the exercise, the teacher Dovezenski taught techniques of throwing from different body positions, as from small, so from large distances.

The training in throwing weapons (Shuriken Jutsu) usually takes place a day before the spear (Yari) seminar, during which special care is taken to correct all and any mistakes that beginners usually make during training in this ancient Japanese martial art.

In the Skopje dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia, the instructor Igor Dovezenski yesterday held a four hour Ne Waza seminar in which took part multiple members from the dojo.

During the event studied and practiced were techniques of transition meaning going from one position to the other when the enemy is in the offensive (Tai Nagashi), then came contra techniques (Kaeshi Waza), and also grapples and chokes (Kansetsu and Shime Waza).

To our great pleasure, in the seminar took part Menka Stojanoska, consecutive Macedonian yearly champion in BJJ, Wrestling, as also in other disciplines in which ground fighting is a priority. As a girl who took her first steps in Japanese martial arts in our dojo, Stojanoska will always be welcomed and will have our support through her carrier.

This was also the last seminar in the Skopje dojo, and from the next week onward, the Hombu dojo shall open the doors to its members, and for all other citizens that want to get acquainted with traditional Japanese martial arts.

The final edition of the seminar "Haragei" was held

Yesterday in the Hombu Dojo of the Organization ”Taiyou e no Michi” the final seminar on the topic of “Haragei” took place.

As shidoshi Dovezenski said beforehand, from next year onward the techniques for improvement of the senses and the body’s vigilance will be taught in a new event called “Senshin Teki Kyoyo” meaning spiritual betterment of the Warrior.

Although yesterdays seminar should have been held in nature specifically on the hill of Elenac, in the last moment the decision was altered. Actually, just before starting, the strong wind followed by snowfall was so cold, that in no time at all it froze the fingers and the face. And for meditation, better conditions are required, for it to be successful. Because of that, the event was transferred to the Hombu.

Ladies and gentlemen, see you next year in a new place and a new topic of study with witch we will continue this unusual spiritual quest.

Haragei V – The Final Edition

Posted on Categories Home

On the 25 of February the final edition on the topic of “Haragei” will be held. The instructor Igor Dovezenski has decided that five years have been enough time for his students to get acquainted with these techniques, and from now on they will continue to be tought through another seminar that will be put on the list for next year.

Hara (腹 ) is a Japanese term for a stomach, and Gei (芸) means art. However, in the martial arts this word bears another meaning, one of an inner and outer communication through discovering one’s self and the changes happening around us in due time. Zen teachers taught centuries ago that breathing with the Hara (stomach) clears the mind from any thoughts and enables a deep view in the inner self. Exactly that insight of the inner and outer changes is believed to grant the warrior a chance to recognize the danger and react to it at the same time. The famous zen monk, Takuan Soho, called this type of training for cultivation of the inner energy an „exercise for the immovable mind“.

Imagine a situation, You and Your opponent are two meters apart with pointed katanas at each other’s hearts. The tension increases and only one untimely breath or one blink of an eye could separate you from life and death. To recognize the attack, to feel the moment when you should react is the key.

This year for the last time, the instructor Dovezenski will teach his students how to enhance their senses, and through that improve their martial skills. Those that took part in all of the “Haragei” seminars, will have enough experience to transfer this skill to the younger members of the dojo, and their improvement will continue from next year, with further expansion of this skill through other techniques necessary for the betterment of every Warrior.

Eleven members of Bujinkan Macedonia singed up, and also had the honor of being part of the seminar during which the new slogan of the system of Shinobi Taiso – “Move4Harmony®” was promoted.

In the event that took place in the Skopje dojo of “Taiyou e no Michi”, to the participants were presented the newest discoveries of the influence of the natural frequencies of the planet Earth on people, as also the electromagnetic pollution that destroys the immune system.

During the seminar, shidoshi Dovezenski introduced the students to the ancient practice of the Japanese samurai of connecting to nature through Shinrin Joku 森林浴 meaning Washing (cleaning) in the forest.

Also, the Instructor for the first time resented the old traditional techniques of increasing of one’s bodily and mental harmony through different movements, but also way of breathing and stimulating of energy through pressure and massage on specific point on the body. Of course, the techniques for lessening and eliminating of pain in an unbalanced body were not left out.

All in all, this was another opportunity for the members of Bujinkan Macedonia to increase their knowledge, but this time with techniques that could really be classified as a “higher level”.

Did you know that the natural frequency of the planet Earth is 7,83Hz?
Or that the electro-smog (pollution) disrupt this natural frequency which among other things keep our immunity strong? And did You know that our biological system oscillates at this frequency crating harmony with the magnetic system of Earth meaning the same frequency that life on this planet evolved at?

At the seminar titled “Move4Harmony”, shidoshi Dovezenski will showcase his discoveries from the research of the ways that the Japanese warriors in the past connected with nature through a practice called Shinrin Joku森林浴 meaning Washing (cleaning) in the forest.

At the same time, there will be a presentation of ancient traditional techniques for strengthening of the physical and mental harmony through different movements, but also ways of breathing and stimulating of energy through pressure and massage of certain points of the body.

Let us not divulge everything, We expect you on the 27 of January (Saturday) in 11.00 o’clock at the dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia, to share the knowledge which will raise even further the quality of our lives.
The seminar tax is 500 denars, and the funds gathered will be used for humanitarian goals.

The Winter Ninja Training – Ways of Nature Survival VIII was held

Posted on Categories Home

The warriors of Bujikan Macedonia for the eight time proved that they are masters of survival in nature, regardless of the terrain or the weather. At a temperature of zero degrees Celsius accompanied by wind and snow, the members of the dojo easily coped with the cold weather that seemed to try and test all participants in this traditional seminar.

During the Sunday the Warriors again had the opportunity to study the secrets of winter survival on hilly terrain, and for that very goal the instructor Dovezenski chose the volcanic heights of Orljak, a place ideal for these kinds of seminars. They are hills of magmatic rocks which are abundant with low vegetation, and so they are almost always subject to winds. Regardless of the brutal terrain, the participants in a short amount of time built a shelter capable of sheltering up to eight people during the night. It is interesting to note that the entire building was made without the use of artificial bindings and only with the use of natural materials.

During the seminar, shidoshi Igor Dovezenski decided to test two of his students, during which he gave them task and a scenario, according to which the needed to independently build personal shelters that would be good enough for a safe stay of a few days. Sadly, neither one of the candidates passed the high standards of the dojo, although one of them was close to achieving it, so as a reward got the opportunity to repeat the test the next year.

Finally we have to say that we are proud that in the seminar took part three members of the kids group (Kosara, Ksenija, Petar) who took part equally and shared in the responsibilities of their older compatriots and didn’t complain even once about the weather during the whole day.
