Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeThe ninth Kids Ninja Marathon was held this past Sunday, in the Skopje Dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia.
This event, which takes place once a month during the winter time, is made with the goal of using fun and friendship to bring the Japanese martial arts closer to the youngest members of the Ninja Kids section.
The next Kids Ninja Marathon will be held in February. See you then.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeDisappointed by the pandemic stricken 2020 and the forced illogical measures and restrictions that completely changed the course of our lives, we refused to let 2021 to go by without any events that will write new chapters in the history of Bujinkan Macedonia and Taiyou e no Michi.
And so, if last year we had nothing of note and so nothing for us to write about in our yearly Report of our work, in 2021 we made sure to bravely and proudly return some of our old glamor and to continue on the Way, paying no attention to the hardships caused by the chaotic global health crisis.
Respected members of Bujinkan Macedonia and dear friends, this past year we managed to organize 25 seminars. Of them, four were held in the Skopje Dojo, five were held in nature, and 16 were held in our Homby Dojo in the valley under Lipac.
There are also a few events that merit mentioning, firsty there was the sucesfull masters degree (shodan) testing of our longstanding member Taki Gakovski, that was held in July in the Hombu of Bujinkan Macedonia. We would also like to mention the two “Genin” bronze awards that were awarded to two notable members of our dojo: Blagica Bozinovska and Mihail Drakalski.
A notable event was the publication of the first ever Bujinkan manga, that was authored by the teacher and leader of Bujinkan Macedonia – Igor Dovezenski, along with his loyal student Taki Gakovski. The comic book was printed in Macedonian and English and over 100 pieces have already been sold in our country and in over 300 pieces in other countries across the world.
This year was also marked by the last edition of the series of seminars known as “Life in the Wild” and we have already announced the beginning of a new series of seminars set to start in 2022, but more on that topic at some later date.
And this Report cannot be complete if we do not mention the legendary Summer Ninja Camps that were successfully held at our Hombu dojo during this past year.
And so we end this Report by wishing you a happy new 2022 and we hope that you have nothing but success on your travels upon the Way.
And don’t forget: “Ninjas never give up”. Ninpo Ikkan!!!
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeOn the day before the start of the new year, the children and beginners of Bujinkan Macedonia had the opportunity to test their skills and to take part in the yearly testing for the attainment of higher student degrees.
From the children’s group “Ninja Kids”, a higher degree was obtained by: Jana C., Antoni P. and Mihail V. (10 kyu), also Mario N. and Petar K., (9 kyu), Marko P. and Darjan B. (8 kyu), and Demian B. ( 7 kyu).
From the beginners group for adults the tenth kyu was attained by Todor R., the ninth kyu Sara G., Jovana N., for the eight kyu Marina J., for the seventh Ljubomir P., while the sixth kyu was attained by Tanja R., and Marko P.
To all the students that attained a higher degree we extend our heartfelt congratulations and our wish that they continue to walk that Path with determination and courage.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeThe Teacher Igor Dovezenski held a seminar about the school of Asayama Ichiden ryu Taijutsu and it was attended by several sempai from Bujinkan Macedonia. The event took place this past Sunday, at the Skopje Dojo of the Organization “Taiyou e no Michi”.
During the seminar the teacher Dovezenski taught 18 katas useful when breaking out of hand and body holds, all of which are easily applicable if one finds himself in real danger.
Notably, this was the last seminar for 2021, and the only remaining event for this year is the yearly testing for the student levels (kyu) that will be held this Thursday.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeThis Saturday, at the Skopje Dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia, the eight edition of the seminar titled Children’s Ninja Marathon was successfully held.
This event is geared towards the youngest members of our Dojo, and the program is full of training, fun and educational exercises.
The next Children’s Ninja Marathon shall take place on the 9th of January, 2022.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeAt the Skopje dojo of the Organization “Taiyou e no Michi”, this past Sunday a seminar was held dedicated to the art of Kukishin ryu Dakentaijutsu.
In the event took part several sempai, and one kohai from Bujinkan Macedonia, all of which dedicated four hours to the tireless practice of the techniques that come from one of the hardest schools taught by our soke Masaaki Hatsumi.
The hellish atmosphere only served to further motivate the Warriors from our dojo to continue their studies of the arts that stem from the Bujinkan Dojo.

Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeTwelve participants had the pleasure of spending two days in the yard of the Hombu Dojo of “Taiyou e no Michi”, basking in the Autumn sunshine and studying the techniques from the school of Togakure ryu Ninjutsu.
During the course of the event the participants had the opportunity to train with the: Toami (ninja net), Ono (large samurai axe), Otsuchi (large samurai hammer), Kaginava (a rope with hooks), Naginata (a blade attached to a long wooden pole), Kusari Fundo (a chain tipped with weights on both sides), Kusari Gama (chain attached to a sickle), Kyoketsu Shoge (a sickle/knife attached with rope to a metal ring), Yari (spear), Bojutsu (fighting with a long wooden stick), Chigiriki (a stick with a weight tipped chain), but also train in : Taijutsu (fighting using one’s body), Muto Dori (fighting unarmed against different weapons) , Kenjutsu (fighting with a Japanese sword), Kodachi (fighting using a short Japanese sword), and with a: Kunai (a sharp gardening and digging instrument), Tessen (fan) and Yavara (a self-defense accessory).
Saturday’s evening was dedicated to a long, and enthusiastically, awaited lecture titled “What is, in fact, Ninjutsu?”.
This was the last seminar, for this year, in the Hombu Dojo of “Taiyou e no Michi”, the new season of seminars is set to start in March of 2022.
Until then the members of Bujinkan Macedonia will continue to train in Skopje and also in nature.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeThis past Sunday the yard of the Hombu resonated with the cries of the warriors from Bujinkan Macedonia. The event that brought them there and gave them the opportunity to bask in the knowledge of the teacher Igor Dovezenski was the art of fighting with a Naginata.
It is interesting to note, that this weapon from the Middle Ages, which is a blade attached to a long wooden pole, was once one of the favorite samurai battlefield weapons.
The members of Bujinkan Macedonia regularly, at least twice a year, study and practice the Naginata techniques, which are admittedly quite eye catching.
Beside the training sessions, the participant also enjoy hanging out together, this is an integral part of every seminar held at the hearth ( Hombu Dojo) of the “Taiyou e no Michi” organization.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeAt the Hombu dojo of the Organization “Taiyou e no Michi”, this past Saturday a seminar was held on the ways of handling a Japanese sword – a katana.
The participants had the opportunity to learn some new, but also repeat some of the previously learned Iaijutsu (simultaneous drawing and cutting) techniques.
The event began with a short introduction to the school, which was the topic of the seminar, after which all of the segments of the Densho were studied: Kamae, Chiburui, Noto, Kiri and Kata.
Igor Dovezenski’s students trained diligently, as the always do, and their technique only seems to grow with each passing seminar, which serves to highlight their dedication.
Author dovezenskiPosted on Categories HomeDespite the draconian measures implemented because of the Covid pandemic, Bujinkan Macedonia’s summer ninja camp went through in great order and with a perfect working atmosphere.
This year the topics taught were: Shinden Fudo ryu Jutaijutsu (chuden gata) and Kusarigamajutsu.
There are no words that could describe the joy felt by the participants during the training sessions led by the teacher Igor Dovezenski, together with his student Marko Opacik.
The shihan Dovezenski also announced next year’s topics: Dakentaijutsu and Bojutsu from the school of Kukishinden ryu HappoBiken.
