The seminar 10.000 B.C. has taken place

Posted on Categories Home

The fourth iteration of the traditional seminar for survival, known by the name of 10.000 B.C. has ended. Just as a reminder, the goal of this event is for us to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and to discover how capable we truly are of surviving without the benefits of modern civilization.

Instead of a classical Report, we give to you part of the impressions of the participants published on our internet Forum.

“The seminar 10.000 B.C., which first time took place four years ago, slowly but surely transformed into one of the traditional events in Bujinkan Macedonia. Characteristic for this event is the choice of location which as a rule is mystical and full of otherworldly beauty. This time the choice fell on the location called Obrocito Dolce (Obrocito Gully), under the hill of Oltomanac.
Sensei told us how in the past, on that place, different kinds of rituals were held and that, according to the local legends, was a meeting place for fairies.

After arriving on location, as always we immediately got right to work. First we cleaned up the area, and afterwards we started preparing the tastiest food. This time we again managed to catch a snake, and Sensei taught us how to cook a simple meal called  Klin corba (Nail broth). He told us that during the Second World War his grandfather managed to feed and entire company with this simple recipe.
It is interesting to point out that ‘Obrocito Dolce’ is full of life, as much with plant life, as it is filled with animal species. Besides the different species of snake, under the oak leaves some small scorpions could also be found. During the seminar Sensei selflessly taught us about the Macedonian mythology. According to him, every Warrior should have a broad sphere of knowledge on many different topics, if he wants to complete his knowledge” – Sempai Taki Gakovski.

“Sensei has said several times that if our country was run by the principles of Bujinkan Macedonia, she would be an example to the world and would be the ‘Japan of the Balkans’.
The simplest way for you to check the veracity of these words is to come to one of our the seminars in nature.
Although I must admit, this event has become one of my favorites because of the mystical locations that we chose and the rich history of them, which even the people that live in its vicinity no longer know. I am sure that all of these seminars during which we learn techniques of survival, are the true challenges for the warriors of Bujinkan Macedonia. At the same time I am always completely sure in Sensei’s capabilities to organize and motivate us, even when we are faced with the hardest of challenges.

The location was truly magical, especially while we kept watching all those carts that once served to transport ore. Fallen into the gully, filed with rocks upon which grew green moss, it gave the whole place a sort of a movie atmosphere.  In the end I would like to add that the seminar left such a strong imprint on me, that the next day while I was working, before my eyes kept flashing images of Obrocito Dolce” – sempai Vladimir Antovski.

In a warm and familiar atmosphere with a modest celebration with a limited number of guests, in the yard of the Hombu Dojo of “Taiyou e no Michi” on July 2 was celebrated the 25th birthday since the creation of the Organization, and also the first ninja dojo in our country – Bujinkan Macedonia.
At the same time the founder and the first man to bring the classical Japanese martial arts in the country – the teacher Igor Dovezenski, celebrated 32 years since his entrance into the world of Ninjutsu and Bujutsu.

We would like to thank all our former and current members and students which are a part of this wonderful family, and also to extend it to all our friends and sympathizers, and most off to our older students (sempai) who wholeheartedly helped the teacher Dovezenski with the workings of the most dynamic Dojo in Europe.

The seminar for Bow and Arrow has been held

This Sunday, a seminar for bow and arrow was held in the Hombu Dojo of the “Taiyou e no Michi” Organization. The students had the opportunity to practice shooting arrows with three different kinds of bows.

Seven members of Bujinkan Macedonia took part in the event, in the attempt to perfect their knowledge. They tirelessly tried to achieve the best results during the span of six hours.

The teacher Igor Dovezenski first taught techniques for shooting from two standing positions, and also two different ways of holding the bowstring (with the index finger and middle finger and with the thumb). Afterwards he continued to teach techniques for shooting while kneeling, with one knee forward or back.

The students of Bujinkan Macedonia left happy and full of impressions, with the wish that the next YumiYa training will be organized as soon as possible.

The traditional seminar for fighting with a spear which is named “Strength of the Yari”, organized by the Dojo for samurai and ninja arts “Bujinkan Macedonia”, was held for the eleventh time. In the event took part ten Warriors of Bujinkan Macedonia, among which were the three kids of the teacher Igor Dovezenski. This year, as last year, the battlefield was on the edge of the forest of Mlaka in the village where the Hombu Dojo is situated. The location was chosen for its similarity to the battlefields of Medieval Japan. Previously, “Strength of the Yari” was held in the location called Slepo Kolo, because of the specific hilly and uneven terrain, and all with the goal of teaching the students how to fight in all terrain conditions. During the seminar, the teacher Dovezenski with special interest followed the techniques performed by the sempais Vladimir Antovski and Mihail Drakalski. And after a short analysis decided that their development is progressing in an acceptable fashion and that the time is right for them to receive a densho in which are encompassed all of the techniques of the art of Sojutsu which is practiced in our dojo. The small ceremony of awarding the densho will be held during the traditional seminar “Kenjutsu under the stars of Lipac”.

Bujinkan Macedonia during the crisis caused by the Corona virus

Posted on Categories Home

Because of the crisis caused by the virus Corona, our Dojo as all others in our country, was forced to temporarily pause its work. Our members were given directions and suggestions on how to maintain their health and physical conditioning, and the free time that we had because of the quarantine that we were in was used for the completion of some responsibilities around the new yard in the Hombu Dojo.

As you already know, the pillar (Hombu) of Bujinkan Macedonia grew by a new 1800 m2, which will be turned into a kind of “world ninjutsu center” meaning a place that can accommodate students and those interested in the study of Ninjutsu, Bujutsu and Aikijujutsu from all over the globe.

The grounds that the instructor Dovezenski bought, are located just behind the Hombu and borders the so-called “summer dojo”. In the expanded area, the plan is to build four small houses in which our members, meaning visitors, while they train, will be able to stay together with their partners or with the members of their family. The rest will be horticulturaly groomed and turned into a pleasant space for rest and recreation.

We expect that the measures for the protection from Corona will lessen, meaning they will slowly be canceled as the virus weakens and that we can continue with the normal work and the activation of our training sessions in Skopje.

Under the tutelage of the teacher Igor Dovesenski, this Sunday in the Skopje dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia a seminar for first aid was held.

During the event, the members of the Organisation for the study of classical Japanese martial arts “Taiyou e no Michi” were taught the forms of first aid given to persons which have been hurt in car or other forms of accidents, burn victims or drowning victims, but also in cases of different sudden acute conditions dangerous to the well-being of those closes to us.

We now convey some of the impressions of sempai Vladimir Antovski.

“We are happy that Sensei held for us another one of those seminars where the other side of the martial arts is studied. The giving of first aid during injuries, accidents and other forms of misfortunes is a truly priceless skill that can save someone’s life or even save ours. We went through a few of the most important and common situations such as giving first aid during a heart attack, stroke, choking, internal and external bleeding, poisoning by fumes or food, electrocution, but also assistance during different kinds of bone fractures. The situations were broken down and explained down to the details by Sensei, who in a incredible way transferred to us his substantial knowledge”.

The first “Kids Ninja Festival” has taken place

Unlike the “Kids Ninja Marathon” , where the kids are introduced to the techniques of fighting with their body, during the “Kids Ninja Festival” the accent is put on fighting with medieval Japanese weapons.

And so, the Ninja Kids of Bujinkan Macedonia this Saturday had the opportunity to practice the myriads of techniques of using the Kusari Fundo. Shuko, and Kyoketsu Shoge.

As always, the kids during the event were in a great mood and carefully ate up every little detail that their instructors selflessly served up to their curious little souls.

The next “Kids Ninja Festival”, and at the same time the last Skopje seminar for the first semester geared towards the youngest members of our dojo, will be held in February.
