The intent of the teacher Dovezenski was for his students to have the opportunity to compare the ways of using this weapon in both traditions, and with that expand their knowledge and experience.

Because of the rainy weather, the second seminar was held inside the Dojo, but the students made sure that the previous day’s atmosphere was preserved.

This past Saturday at the Hombu of the Organisation “Taiyou e no Michi ” a seminar about the Naginata, a classical Japanese weapon from the school of Kukishin ryu, was held.

The school, whose creator is Jakushimaru Kurando Takanao, is known for its rigid fighting techniques, and considering the size of the Naginata, the effects of the exertion this demanded was evident in the difficulties that the students had in following the instructions of the teacher Dovezenski.

During the event, all of the fighting stances (kamae) and all of the katas from this school were thoroughly drilled.

Besides some members from Bujinkan Macedonia, the seminar was attended by a practitioner from the Republic of Serbia, with whom the seminar took on an international character.

By the way, to train with and handle a hammer that weighs nearly 10 kilograms, demands a lot of effort and a strong body, and that’s precisely the reason why the teacher Igor Dovezenski invests a lot of time into transferring the secret techniques of this weapon to all those interested in learning them.
