As is tradition, the event was held at the Hombu Dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia in the beautiful and picturesque village of Dovezence situated in the valley under the mystical mountain of Lipac.

In the event there were around 35 participants from Macedonia and Turkey, and the atmosphere that they created was fantastic.

In addition to the two training sessions led by the teachers Igor Dovezenski and Erjan Sharbat, some of the free time was dedicated to visiting several notable cultural and historical sites.

The next BuYuKai shall be held in Istanbul, and all the members of both Dojos are already longingly waiting to again be part of this beautiful event that brings our two countries closer together.

Immediately after the HoJutsu seminar that was held this past Saturday at the Hombu of Bujinkan Macedonia, two members of the dojo were tested for advancement to a higher level by the dojo’s leader Igor Dovezenski.

We are talking about the longtime students Marko Opacic, who passed the test for the Yondan (4th Dan), and Taki Gakovski, who passed the test for the Nidan (2nd Dan). With this, Bujinkan Macedonia now has three members with the Nidan, and one with the Yondan, with which the quality of one of the best Dojo’s in the world just keeps rising.

Opacic and Gakovski are one of the most loyal students of the teacher Dovezenski, and besides the master degrees in (Bujinkan) Ninjutsu they both are also holders of master degrees in the art of Daito ryu Aikijujtsu.

We would like to congratulate them for their level advancements and we wish them many more years of training at Bujinkan Macedonia!

HoJutsu seminar

In the yard of the Homby Dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia, in accordance with every safety principle applicable, this past Saturday a seminar was held dedicated to the art of shooting a samurai rifle, during which were taught the positions used by the Samurai of the school of Geki ryu Hojutsu when firing this kind of gun.

This seminar is crucial for the keeping and continuing the traditions connected with the art of shooting a Tanegashima (a musket type gun), which was really popular in the Land of the Rising sun during the 17th century.

That is exactly why, the students of Bujinkan Macedonia regularly hold this event, during which the participants learn the shooting positions that were used by the warriors of Japan once upon a time. Besides the body positions, correct breathing also plays a significant role, but also the calm needed to correctly perform every technique.

The Shinken (test) was split into a demonstration of techniques and katas from the school of Gjokko ryu Koshijutsu, followed by randori – simultaneous defense from two attackers.

Both candidates showed impeccable knowledge and were awarded their Nidan degrees.

We congratulate them!

Not even the rainy weather could stop the Warriors from Bujinkan Macedonia from holding the traditional spear fighting seminar “The Strength of the Yari”.

This traditional event was held for the 16th time in the yard of the Hombu Dojo of the Organization “Taiyou e no Michi”, and in it took part over 20 members of Bujinkan Macedonia.

It was wonderful to see the dojo’s student, from all walks and ages , dutifully learn the secrets of fighting with a spear from the school of Shinden Fudo ryu DakenTaijutsu, and the teacher Igor Dovezenski selflessly shared much of his knowledge with them.

The next seminar in Bujinkan Macedonia’s program shall be held on the 12/13 of April on the topic of: Hojutsu/YumiYa.

This past Saturday, at the Hombu dojo of the Organisation “Taiyou e no Michi”, a seminar dedicated to the art of ShurikenJutsu was held and in it participated around 20 members of Bujinkan Macedonia.

Three targets were used, while the teacher Igor Dovezesnki taught exactly eight different techniques that the students happily drilled in.

That same night he held a class on the topic of “Haragei – Ways to recognise and prevent danger”, after which all the participants spent time hanging out around the fire eating some pancakes.

This was another seminar to be remembered and created some amazing memories – especially amongst our youngest members.

A free class: Haragei - Ways of detecting and preventing danger

On the 29th of March (2025), starting at 21.00, at the Homby Dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia there will be a free class on the topic of: Haragei – Ways of detecting and preventing danger.

All those that have spent a bit more time with the teacher Igor Dovezenski, might have noticed that when he visits any kind of establishment and venue, he has a peculiar disposition. Namely, he is extremely picky about where he goes, when he enters any establishment he “scans” the patrons and staff, he pays great attention to the location of the table that he shall sit at, endeavoring to have his back to the wall. Besides, he pays attention to many other details, all of these prudent measures make him a master of judging people and their psychological traits – something that he has always gotten right, especially when it comes to having an accurate, analytical, picture of their character traits.

Provoked by the times and surroundings that he lives in, Dovezenski decided that it is time to share his skills with the younger members of the dojo, with the goal of teaching them how to avoid or better said protect themselves from and during unfortunate events such as verbal and physical altercations, physical danger, theft, fire and many other situations that threaten our youth.

The class is free and open for all members of Bujinkan Macedonia.
