In the Hombu Dojo of the Organization “Taiyou e no Michi” , this weekend a seminar took place for Anma – Japanese Massage.

During the event shidoshi Igor Dovezenski taught methods of massaging the head, face and neck, during which the participants had the opportunity to explore in tiniest detail these far eastern techniques which were used in the past to maintain the health and vitality of the body.

After the seminar ended, every participant was tasked with demonstrating to what degree he had mastered the material taught during this Saturday and Sunday. According to the judgment of the teacher Dovezenski, the members of the dojo are on the right path to also having the skills necessary to help the people around them.

On the next Anma seminar, besides repeating the material, the instructor will teach techniques of massaging the back

Two days after returning from Japan, shidoshi Igor Dovezenski held a seminar in the Hombu Dojo of the organization “Taiyou e no Michi” with the title of “Nihon no Kankaku” meaning  “Feelings from Japan”.   

During the seminar Dovezenski tried to adequately transfer the moments and techniques which he practiced with his Japanese teachers, during his three day stay in the Land of the Rising Sun.

During the two days of this past weekend, the instructor of Bujinkan Macedonia taught techniques of utilizing the body in combat (Taijutsu), but also in the use of different weapons such as: Katana (sword), Hanbo (short stick), Kunai (a metal tool used for digging), Shuko (metal claws) and Tanto (knife).

Saturday night, Dovezenski held a six hour class during which through photographs and videos he tried to bring to life the experience gathered during his stay in Japan.

The founder of the Organization for the study of traditional Japanese martial arts “Taiyou e no Michi” and the primary instructor for Bujinkan Macedonia – Igor Dovezenski, yesterday returned to Macedonia after spending three weeks perfecting the Bujutsu and Ninjutsu in the Land of the Rising Sun.

During his stay in Japan, Dovezenski trained for eight hours each and every day, visiting during that time many dojos and learning from the best of instructors about the schools that are represented in Macedonia.

The first week was dedicated on studying and perfecting the school of Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu, during which Dovezenski visited several dojos and comparing and testing during it his knowledge gained during the training with his teacher Antonino Certa.

After that came the training in the city of Noda, where the Homby dojo of the organization of the organization Bujinkan is situated. Here the only Macedonian kobudo instructor, each day visited several training-sessions, learning from the last living ninja – soke Masaaki Hatsumi, as also from his best shihans. Tetsuji Ishizuka, Toshiro Nagato, Yukio Noguci, Isamu Shiraishi, Kenichi Someya, are but a few of the names from which Igor Dovezenski expanded his knowledge during his stay in Japan. He was also invited and took part in the second BuYuKai gathering, during which he gifted soke Masaaki Hatsumi some traditional Macedonian handwork.

During one of the training, the shihan Yukio Noguci to the leader of Bujinkan Macedonia bestowed the title of 10th dan, with which the only acknowledged Macedonian dojo now has a teacher of the highest rank. At the same time, soke Masaaki Hatsumi to Dovezenski gave a Bugo meaning a warriors name – The Thunderous Tiger. During it, on a Kakejiku (a hanging scroll) wrote for him “The exo of the thunderous tiger reverberates through the mountains.”

The last week from the journey in Japan, Igor Dovezenski dedicated to training in Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto ryu Bujutsu, as also visiting of dojos which teach Kobudo school that the instructor does not represent, but is interested in their history and technique.

The training in Katori Shinto-ryu were led by the shihan Kyoso Shigetoshi, who described down to the tiniest detail the movements of this oldest of Kobudo schools.
Still, the greatest surprise for Dovezenski was his acceptance in the company of Yasuada Iizasa, the 20th Soke of Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto-ryu Bujutsu. For the surprise to be complete, he was called to the Homby Dojo of this school, during which Dovezenski had the chance to talk to and give questions to the Soke. If you know, that you can count on one hand the amount of non-Japanese that have taken tea and talked with m-r Yasuada Iizasa in his Hombu Dojo, it can only be imagined the honor that was given to the instructor Dovezenski.

In the end, we would like to transfer to you the gratitude of the leader of “Taiyou e no Michi” to his students and also to his three children, which are always to him the motivation to accomplish and reach for more. Great gratitude  to senpai Kentaro Relnik for his selfless aid to Dovezenski during his stay in faraway Japan.
