The leader of the Organization dedicated to the study of traditional Japanese martial arts „Taiyou e no Michi“, instructor Igor Dovezenski, participated at the International seminar for Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto ryu Bujutsu organized by shidosha Luiza Raini from Italy. The event that lasted 4 days, took place in Milan under the leadership of the shihan Nobutoshi Otake.
During the seminar, Sensei Otake taught all kata from Omote no Tachi, and he explained to the tiniest detail the combat forms of Bo (a staff long 180 cm.), as well as the forms of Naginata. The advanced students had the opportunity to study the techniques from the higher level Gogyo no Tachi too.
Over 60 kodudoki from 14 countries around the world travelled specifically for this International event, where the social and physical aspect of the participants at the event was at the highest level.
During the last training, shihan Otake transmitted the first kata with a Naginata to Dovezenski, and he explained really well the ways to use this middle aged Japanese weapon.
Until the next international event, the new material needs to be studied completely in order to continue the hard Path of this oldest Japanese martial tradition.
