Twelve participants had the pleasure of spending two days in the yard of the Hombu Dojo of “Taiyou e no Michi”, basking in the Autumn sunshine and studying the techniques from the school of Togakure ryu Ninjutsu.
During the course of the event the participants had the opportunity to train with the: Toami (ninja net), Ono (large samurai axe), Otsuchi (large samurai hammer), Kaginava (a rope with hooks), Naginata (a blade attached to a long wooden pole), Kusari Fundo (a chain tipped with weights on both sides), Kusari Gama (chain attached to a sickle), Kyoketsu Shoge (a sickle/knife attached with rope to a metal ring), Yari (spear), Bojutsu (fighting with a long wooden stick), Chigiriki (a stick with a weight tipped chain), but also train in : Taijutsu (fighting using one’s body), Muto Dori (fighting unarmed against different weapons) , Kenjutsu (fighting with a Japanese sword), Kodachi (fighting using a short Japanese sword), and with a: Kunai (a sharp gardening and digging instrument), Tessen (fan) and Yavara (a self-defense accessory).
Saturday’s evening was dedicated to a long, and enthusiastically, awaited lecture titled “What is, in fact, Ninjutsu?”.
This was the last seminar, for this year, in the Hombu Dojo of “Taiyou e no Michi”, the new season of seminars is set to start in March of 2022.
Until then the members of Bujinkan Macedonia will continue to train in Skopje and also in nature.
