The traditional friendly seminar between Bujinkan Macedonia and Bujinkan Turkey, which is held biannually in each of the participant countries, managed to again gather a lot of Ninjutsu lovers, this time in Istanbul.  The seventh in a row BuYuKai was organized by the Haburamu Dojo and the instructor Erjan Sharbat.

As is tradition, the team from Bujinkan Macedonia arrived in “the city of emperors” two days before the events officially started with the goal of enjoying the beauty of the blue Bosphorus, and the old cobblestones of the city’s bazaars. This time spent in each other’s company helped strengthen the friendships that have been growing between the members of these two martial arts clubs.

Besides the participants from the host country and from Macedonia, we had participants from Serbia, with which the seminar continued its international character and tradition of gathering many different lovers of ninjutsu from many different countries.

The teacher of Bujinkan Macedonia decided that this year he shall celebrate his 50th birthday in Constantinople, surrounded by his children, students and close friends, who managed to surprise him with an amazing gift that is already hanging inside the Hombu Dojo in Dovezence.

During the event, Dovezenski and Sharbat taught several different basic and advanced techniques and principles of ninjutsu, while the participants took great pleasure in absorbing some of the knowledge that these two instructors have managed to accumulate throughout the years.

The next BuYuKai will be held next spring in Macedonia, and there are plans in place for a great big surprise for the event’s participants.

Mark the date on your calendars and await the eight iteration of the traditional BuYuKai event.

A seminar for KyoketsuShoge

One day after the KusariGama seminar, a seminar for KyoketsuShoge was held, an event that is also a part of the yearly Bujinkan Macedonia program.

The beautiful Autumn day only added to the charm of the nine katas that the students of Igor Dovezenski tirelessly trained in so that they could perfect their ninja skills.

This was the last seminar at the Hombu for the year 2024. See you next season.

This past Saturday in the yard of the Hombu Dojo of Bujinkan Macedonia a one-day Togakure ryu seminar was held, it was dedicated to an unusual Japanese medieval weapon called KusariGama.

During the seminar the participants had the opportunity to practice ten different techniques with the KusariGama, during which they showed exemplary results, they quickly managed to grasp and practice the katas of this ancient ninjutsu art.

The evening was dedicated to playing board games and relaxing in the Hombu, which looks even better now after its renovation, having taken on a captivating sort of  beauty.
